A few of my shots, they are also running a photography contest and I plan to enter one of my pictures. They will first be judged by professional photographers for creativity, artistry, appeal and relevancy to the subject (rally racing). Then they will be posted publicly and people will vote on them. My favorites are 1 and 4, I really think 4 would have the best chance of winning because it captures a lot more action than the rest, but I'm having trouble getting the car to be as sharp as I would prefer it, if anyone has any helpful PP hints for me I would appreciate any help at all!

Also C&C on all images, and opinions on which one you feel would be good to submit, would also be helpful.

Thanks,

James

I find all that safety tape (4, 5 & 7) so off putting.

I dont think you can do much about the sharpness on 4,as its a bit oof anyway ,but I can see why you like it.
Agree with others re tape .
Good luck,
Pons

I love #'s 1 and 4. And I disagree with the tape on those two; in #1 it's almost completely hidden in the background and I do not find it to be a distraction at all, and in #4 I think it adds to the atmosphere. The motion conveyed and the scenery add a reality to it that I really like.

On 5 and 7 I have to agree (though I'd just crop it out as opposed to artificially cloning it out), but I really enjoyed the others.

For the competition nothing along the lines of cloning things out of the image is allowed, cropping on the other hand is so long as it is still within the allowed resolutions. I'm thinking I might crop the tape out of #4 but at the same time it doesn't bother me that much, but I wasn't concerned with what I felt on the subject, I was more curious what OTHER people thought about it since it will be other people voting on it.

I will probably just end up submitting #1 because I don't think #4 has the chance to be good enough, while #1 is pretty sharp, no large obstructions, and I think captures the feeling I was having standing on the apex of that corner, which is what they claim to be looking for in this photo contest.

We'll see, any more input is GREATLY appreciated, thanks for the comments so far!
