Here are my favorites from Saturday. I tried to use the fact that I was outside the fence as an opportunity to look for new shots. Here is what I came up with.

Full gallery here. (external link) I'd love to hear if anybody has favorites in the full gallery that they think would be better suited to a Top 8 position. I've had a hard time editing this time around.

C&C appreciated

Aaron

These sure prove that a person doesn't need a credential to get great shots.

Some of the best genuinely atmospheric shots of any motor racing I've seen in a while. And ALMS too. :) Pretty impressive that being honest, loving shots 2, 6 and 8 hugely.

Cheers, Dave.

Very nice, certainly the best I've seen so far from this event. I particularly like the multiple car shots; always good to show some racing - that is what it's all about after all!

Wow, thanks everybody! I am very happy with these shots but didn't expect such a good reception. :)

It really does show that fences shouldn't stand in your way to getting great images. Being at a track as beautiful as Laguna Seca doesn't hurt though. :D

 I had to send the 1DmkIII back yesterday. I miss the solid feel of the body and shutter from the weekend. Anyways, enough of me. Nice Set Aaron next time i'm going to follow you around all weekend, screw this self shooting crap.

I have to agree with Cadwell - awesome. It just goes to show that credentials don't make the shots... fence smence!

#6 is my favorite, it looks like the sun is going down, got the haze in the background, headlights shining. Very cool shot, great job! All of these are great images.

Totally digging this set, and I have to echo the comment about #3 (with the addition of #4 which is also awesome). Nice work, for sure!
