Found I had some bug hunting competition on my car yesterday = a harlequin ladybird.

Nice shots Brian.
I used to always imagine ladybirds to be quite timid creatures until I observed a couple getting stuck into the local aphid population. I guess everythings got to eat.

Geoff- some of the smaller ladybirds are fairly timid - but not these harlequins.
