Here are two from last weekend. Maybe by the end of the season I'll be able to get a shot of these leaps from the front.

Mike, I forgot what the shortcut for that was in PS? Any help!

(if it could only be that easy!)

Good shots Felixapproach! I think the timing is the hardest part and you seem to have a handle on that. Good to see some new folks milling around.

Wasn't going to post these because lighting was very poor (surprise) AND I just couldn't "get it together". :o

Anyway, here's a few 'non-action' shots from Saturday...

I like the third one. You really captured her focus and intensity. I'm always amazed how they can block out everything else going on around them(like that wonderful floor music over and over).

Great shots, but the chipped paint and peeling wall are distracting from the main subject which is the gymnist.

Do you shoot much gymnastics?

Well, should we use this thread for all the gym parents to post this season's images or is there another thread for that?

You know what? I thought this was a forum where one could have an opinion. I simply stated the the big peel in the wall was distracting. It's not like I was bashing your images. If you gym dad's can't take an opinion, then don't post. I see nothing wrong in my post.

LOL!! I agree. I wish the gyms I go to were perfect! I was going to try and 'fix' the wall, but I decided not to.

Brice - I figured I'd start a new thread, but it doesn't matter to me.

- Got another meet on Sunday and then off for a few months.

It truly is an open forum. Post where you like. have you ever shot gymnastics at a club or YMCA?

Good to see GBR in the house:cool: I really like your shooting position on those vault shots. That's a really hard to get eyes on that apparatus. I think #6 is my hands down favorite. That girl has to be totally stoked to see that shot! bw!(figured it was a good spot to use the new smiley!)

I saw you were shooting with the 85mm. I used it last weekend and am still getting lots of misses with it (esp. on floor!). When it hits it really looks great, but the parents are none too happy when there's only 2 shots of the entire beam routine! Do you have any sage advice on upping the keepers with that lens?

Good postin'!

Let's see if I still remember how to post pix...
CC welcome, even regarding paint!!!;)

ps- Looking at these on the forum, it seems I have on rose colored glasses! Could this be due in part to editing with a proofing profile activated or am I all rosy eyed?
