Can I ask what lighting setup you used for this shot? also did you use a black background? Thanks!

In this case I'd say the frame - The watermark is cutting of the feet.

I think it depends in the use. If it's to show your work, the embedded WM is better. If it's as a final product, I prefer the frame.

Both are actions so I don't have to waste time watermarking pics.
I like the frame but don't know if it is old fashion. And the watermark I can play more with the gradient effect but always will be covering part of my picture.

Digital I used one light setup with black background.

John I think I don't understand what you're trying to mean. Could you explain me that better. Thanks in advance.

If the picture is being displayed as a sample of your work either posted on the web or placed in a store front, then I like the picture that has the watermark on the picture itself. It makes it much less likely someone would take the pic for their own use. If the picture is meant as the final product being delivered to a customer, then I like the framed one.

Watermark is to prevent people stealing your work and passing it off as their own, as well as stopping customers who haven't paid for it printing it. Mostly.

Frame is if you don't care about that, but you want recognition until it's stripped off by someone.

Tim and if just disable right click mouse option? so nobody can save my pictures. Do you think that is not enough? I know they can do some Print Screen but it would harder to steal.

If someone can see something that can copy it. Right click protection is defected in 2 seconds by turning Javascript off. Flash viewers still rely on jpg files, and they're in common locations, so they're generally easy enough to get as well. Proxy server logs are an easy way to do it. It's best to assume people will get the files, and they will want to print or steal them.
