There is only one that is acceptible. Everything else sucks. Including Penn (except their rental business). Baltimore would be too far for jeromego while he is travelling for balloon festival.

It is a small BH in the area. Prices are very similar (mostly they are exactly the same!) They carry much stuff BH doesn't carry at all (like many ball heads and other support)

On top they are working on their e-store. Hooray!

I spent some good money there over the last year. And would go again.

Oh, forgot to mention - it is about 10 min from Dulles airport, but you can figure it out via google.

Penn Camera near my home is pretty good, Fair Lakes, but they are a chain and prices not so good. But I have to second the AcePhoto store. Those are some great guys out there. You want a price, it's pretty much what B&H is selling it for.

Photocraft in Burke Va. is pretty good as well. http://www.ephotocraft.com/ (external link)

I like Penn Camera in Tysons. Their Fair Lakes and Springfield centers are too small and don't have as much gear. They usually have a good amount of used gear.

Ace Camera in Ashburn is good too, but not much used gear.

It all started as a hobby with a Rebel XT & KIT lens. $5K worth of equipment & $0 of income later, all I have to show for it is a harddrive full of pictures and priceless memories!! Yeah it's still worth it :)
