Recently I have gone from 1 gig to 3 gig ram and I have also had to reset my settings on both my 40ds. Everything has gone well to this point bur last night went to transfer images which usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes (never really timed it) for about 500 images, to maybe 1 image every 5 minutes. I used both cameras with the same results. Anyone have any suggestions? I Have a Pair of 40Ds

Better to remove the card every time than to plug a wire into the camera and risk breaking/weakening the plug or giving the camera some virus off the computer. Since you switched from the 1g to 3g card, maybe the 3g is a slower card. They have cards with different read and write speeds. Or were you shooting RAW for the wedding and usually shoot jpeg? I was under the impression that the OP was referring to computer RAM, not CF card size.
