I've had this camera since August of last year without any problems. Lately, though, it seems to slowly be dying.

The first thing I noticed is the color accent mode was messed up. Instead of each color to be accented flashing in the display, the same thing flashed no matter what I pushed. It will still do the color accent, but I have no way of telling what color is selected.

Next I noticed that it will no longer take long-exposure (anything over 1 second) pictures. Even with a tripod, it gives me a 'camera shake' icon and takes a blurry picture.

Just yesterday I noticed that the 'automatic' setting is shot, too. Every single picture I took with it came out overexposed. I had to edit each picture darker.

So far the manual setting and video seems to be okay. Has anyone else had these problems? I'm ready to pitch the camera out the window.

You could try resetting the camera settings to factory default. This is accessed on most Canon cameras by holding down the menu button until the reset screen appears.

Hey! Thanks for the idea. I'll try it as soon as I get home. If that works I won't be able to thank you enough.
