...and I am asking myself why I didnt do this sooner. I am so excited I had to tell someone. :D I went from a 30D I have had since '06. Looking through the viewfinder with the 24-70 f/2.8L at 24mm is amazing, 24mm is now wide!

I can't wait until its daylight out tomorrow and I can screw around with it more.

I just upgraded too, and took it to the Himalaya to test...also wish I'd upgraded sooner now - the 400D pics are just not the same.
Won't be able to use the 400D any more!

Congrats! After upgrading from a 30D to 5D, I felt the same way. The raw files the 5D produces are flat out breathtaking.

The 5d is one heck of a camera. The best thing about the announcement of the new 5d is that the original one will just drop in price further.

I just got done shooting a couple of parties with my XTi and a 16-35L, and realized the need to upgrade. I was using ISO 800 the whole time, and handling the PP kicked my arse.
I really want a 5D, but I hear you also have to upgrade your lenses too when you do that!
