I am wondering if anyone has recommendations for an online print service that works similar to MPix, but has lower cost print options for non photo papers.

MPix is looking for $3.00 for an 8.5x11" print.
That;s pretty good, but if I can find a source for similar service that uses less esoteric gloss papers for things like full color brochures and advertising materials, I'd love to know a good one.

thanks in advance.

You can order them online for local pickup. I don't know if they will mail them.

I do that all the time, BUT I don't think they actually do the mailed printing.

They have a luster surface that I like. You could do a 4-page brochure in 12X18" paper ($2.99), dry mount them together, & fold it in the middle? Is that what you had in mind?
I think I'll try that this Winter.

Take a look at Vista Print
http://www.vistaprint.com …tingMaterials&dng=1061557 (external link)
With the present sale prices they go from $20 for 25 down to $150 for 500.

Just watch your cc statements for the next few months and be ready to dispute any charge you didn't make.

You're welcome CDS. Apparently some people here use vistaprint and have never had a problem. But even one complaint of the type I linked to would make me wary. And vistaprint has had several.
A couple of places I've used for business cards and postcards are "Printing for Less" and "Overnight Prints".
printingforless.com - Everything I've ordered from them has been absolutely first class. I send them my layered Photoshop psd files. Costs a little more, but their quality has been superb. Have them do a free file review if you want to order, because a re-send costs you money.
overnightprints.com - Much lower costs. Quality has been good. I send them a non-layered tiff and immediately receive a lowres proof to check if my file is OK.
