Hi All, headed down to a favourite spot on the pine river mount for some sunset shots last weekend. The sky began thick and grey but broke up and turned on some nice colour deepening from gold to red/purple over the course of half and hour or so. I especially liked the way this matched the colour of the rocks in the foreground.

Here's a selection over time - C&C welcome. I still struggle with colour balance for these sort of shots.

Thanks for looking and for your comments .:D

Taken with 40D and Tokina 11-16mm with grad neutral density filter

3rd one up from the bottom is the best to me. best colors and overall tone. but really great shots in general!

Very nicely done. I do like the tones on the latter few images.

Like the whole series. Fifth one down (third from bottom) is a wall hanger.

I agree - I like the whole set. The colors on the rocks are amazing to me. My favorite, though, is also the fifth one down - a great balance between the rocks, ocean, and shore line.

It rocks! Interesting to see the tree in the last picture leaning. Did you have someone pushing the tree while the picture was being taken?
