I've had my copy for a while now, and it's tack sharp wide open. I'm very very happy.

Congrats! I got one at B&H on Thanksgiving and I'm totally smitten with it. It's a serious upgrade from the EF-S 17-85 I had been using and it has re-kindled my infatuation with L lenses.

I was a fool and sold my two L lenses (16-35, 70-200/2.8 IS) several years ago and now I'm saving for another 70-200. I'm trying to justify the purchase in thinking that my 24-70's all lonely by itself! :D

Very pleased with this lens so-far. I have yet to get a chance of shooting in daylight though. :confused:
