Hi! I really love #4. Can you describe your technique when shooting against the sun? Did you used some off camera flash? Thanks!

Thanks guys.

dou_b_14: the EF-S to EF conversion is very easily and simple. I've used the 10-22 on a 5D and it works very well! :)

Yes, you need flash to compensate for the huge difference in exposure values for the sun and for the shaded side of the people. You expose to get the background exposure you want, and then you blast your subjects with flash to give them the exposure you want too.

Lloyd, you are fantastic! I love the classic Lloyd shot, of course, but #7 is my "how did you catch that?"

Awesome work, I love it so much!

I have a question about the logistics of the outside stuff. Only weddings I've been to, they never do the out of the church photos. It's mainly just wedding, then straight to reception. So is it like, after the wedding you just grab the bride and groom and go to different locations for an hour (or more) and just shoot and then the rest of the wedding activities continue?

Weddings work differently in different areas. Where are you located? Over here it is normal to have a photo shoot scheduled during the day. It is typically between the ceremony and reception. If there is not enough time, then often we do it even before the ceremony. If you tell them EARLY ON that you NEED at least 1.5 hours with the bride and groom in order to get some unique, dramatic imagery, then maybe you can convince some of your couples to allocate the time for you to work your magic.

I should mention after all that that I'm being nitpicky, and I actually really enjoy your work a great deal.

You are picky... wow! Good eye! :)
