It's been a while since I posted here.
I decided that I needed to jump my photography up a notch. So I decided to pull my finger out and give myself a kick up the behind.

This wedding was a 3 Day Asian event. This is day 1 is a civil ceremony with 200 people. I will post day 3 in a moment.

We ran out of light due to things running behind.

A great mix of the traditional and contemporary there (both in photography and personally).

You're doubtless aware of the reflection in the glasses detracting from the shots with the father(?). Maybe asking for the subject to remove their glasses during the shots would be better Or failing that, simply asking the subject not to face the light-source so much. Situations like that should really be sorted out when you're taking the photos (you should have seen that through the viewfinder).

That nit-pick (and itshould be taken as advice, not criticism) aside, you've got superb results.

these are FANTASTIC! The last 2 have a great sense of drama, 2 and 3 the black and white with the vignette are also really great.

It's a good point. I personally love reflections in glasses. I know your right, and I am in the minority. To be honest, I didn't think about it at the time. That's my problem. I didn't notice. I will add it to my checklist of in camera thoughts.

Have you ever known someone to always wear glasses and then they take them off? They look weird, right. That's why I don't like people to take there glasses off if they normally wear them. So I think I may go down the polarizer filter.

Well done but I personally believe your logo needs to be a tab smaller. It's too distracting. Nicely shot though. Lighting, sharpness are all visible.

I am new to watermarking my images. It's my first pics with it. I'll shrink it down next time.

Thanks. I told them what I wanted. I set up the environment. I asked them to lift up the mirror whilst she adjusted herself.

As far as reflections in glasses, most of the time just raising the arms of the glasses so the lenses tilt downward reduces or eliminates reflections from many sources. I read that somewhere and it has consistently worked.

Wish I had your 5D cameras and 85 f/1.2L.

Love the shots. Agree with everyone here. Especially love 7 & 8. Also as mentioned, #3, the reflection off the glasses comes off a bit strong and distracting but definitely doesn't take away from the great mood in the photo. Wonderful work.

Great work VB. Really digging the night shots. Which lens did you use for those?

7 and 8 are fast becoming the favs. It was a bit of a panic as we ran out of light due to the group shots going overtime. I didn't give up. I used a video light and a looked for lights on buildings near by. These images were against an office build across the road from the park.
