How many of you have calibrated monitors?

And by which means have you done so?

Not really. You can get it closer than by just doing nothing but using a hardware calibrator is the only way to do it properly.

I have a HP LP2065 and use the Spyder 3 Pro. After guiding me through the hardware adjustments (brightness/contrast/r/g/b) the profile it made was very subtle. When the profile kicks in at start up, it is very easy to think that nothing has changed.

I have HAD calibrated monitors, but the budget monitor I'm currently using just wouldn't give good results when calibrated with the Spyder2 Pro. I'm actually pleased with the printer/display match I get just by tweaking the monitor controls. But, eventually I'll have to upgrade/replace this cheap monitor and I certainly will calibrate the new one.

Are you all referring to desktop monitors? I'm wondering if my laptop screen requires calibration too?

When we're finished with this thread, maybe we can start another one: "How many of you put fuel in your car?"
