Some shots from 2008 that I can actually still remember taking ie for whatever reason they must have caused some excitement when I was taking them.

Nice set Brian - I'd be happy with these shots as well. Stand out for me has to be the Chalcid wasp, what a superb shot. Wishing you a grand 2009 and lots of luck finding a nice coloured Crab Spider, and some mating (in flight) Hoverflies, and some Robberflies as well (including mating ones). :-)

Outstanding shots! I thought I already commented in this thread, but my post must not have taken.

My favorites are the ant- terrific composition, and the hoverfly closeup- amazing detail!

One of these days I'll get brave enough to post up some of my stuff. Gotta get the hang of this Canon 100mm macro...then I'll probably step up to an MPE-65.

I will! I've only taken a couple of true macros so far. Due to the unusually cold weather where I live, bugs and flowers are rather scarce!

I'll go ahead and post a couple in a new thread. :)
