A short, small wedding a couple days before Christmas. Only 7 people including the couple's 4 week old baby. It's hard to turn down a 2 hour wedding at a full day's price.

1. D700/35 F/2 processional

2. D700/50 1.4 - I love the native indian eyes.

3. 1D3/30 1.4 - LOVE this body/lens combo.

4. 1Ds3/70-200 - something a little different. Tried a kissing shot here but just couldn't get it right...

5. 1Ds3/85 1.8

6. 1Ds3/10-22 - Convinced them to shoot outside in -28C/-19F temps... without coats! Awesome! The wind chill didn't help either.

7. 1D3/30 1.4 - shot at F/1.4

#2 is fantastic.

Nice job all around. I couldn't imagine using two different camera systems for one event.

Actually, I used 4/6 for this wedding, but the 40D was mainly used during the ceremony only. And I find ceremony shots boring so I don't share them.

You get used to it pretty fast. Of course, I set up the Nikon to operate as much like a canon as possible. For example, the rear dial operates aperture instead of the shutter speed that nikon set it to by default. I also mapped the rear AF-L button to engage live view because I'm not used to Live view being on the mode dial. It's very customizable so it makes the transition easier. Not flawless, but at least a little easier. The tricky part is to remember how the two focusing systems react better to different types of contrasts.

LOL... yup. I much prefer 1.6 crop ultrawides as they work as UWA on ALL THREE sensor formats. Something the 16-35 completely falls short of.

I appreciate all the kind words y'all.

40D with 17-55, I'm guessing. I bet I'd find them interesting, but I'm weird like that. :)

4/6. Nice job!
