Had a hard time picking them as i have quite a few more but i'd like to hear your opinions on those for starters. If you'd like i can add more here (there are a few variations on each and i had a hard time choosing)

all shot with a 100mm macro lens, lighting on the first 2 with homemade softbox

1. Cropped about 40%, was a really small fella

Holy mackeral! What the heck is that third critter? It looks like it belongs playing a major role in Lord of the Rings!

cheers guys :D, glad you like it. wasn't sure if it's ok to post more than 3 at a time, even though i upload them through imageshack. the beetle is a copris hispanus, according to a search i run in google. they don't usually climb trees lol, i just placed it there to make the composition more interesting. if you can help me with the identification of the other crawlies i will be grateful

here are a few more, from the same set

this guy was tiny, around 5mm, had to crop to about 50%. shame you can see the reflection of my homemade softbox in the drop :(

another weird critter, also around 5mm, again had to crop significally

now this guy was really active, running around, probably hunting, so i had to chase him and shoot handheld. no crop, about 1:2

and last one, same spider from the original post, manipulated to a different location and sprayed with water to give some dew effect, obviously from the pic, he got pretty pissed off, taking a defensive position which imo made the pic more interesting :D. shot with a pretty closed aperture and a distant background, which, combined with flash gave me a nice black background

any C&C will be greatly appreciated, i'm about to go beyond 1:1, so any tips can be nice :D
