Stu at Quality Camera has a great price on 24-105's at the moment ... just so you know.

$500 off, and still $300 more than it was a few short months ago.. sad..

Nice, what'd you get?

The chook went well, very well actually. Was juicy all the way through, and the spice rub gave it a little kick. Served with some lemony herb potatoes and a tomato and cucumber salsa. I should really start shooting more of my cooking. lol

Wow sounds good, better than supreme/meatlovers, garlic bread and kickers.

Sounds like you should be shooting it!

I had a go at fireworks for the first time last night too. Got some interesting combinations. Have only edited two so far but these are pretty much SOOC so quite pleased with them.
We only have a small display here but enough for some fun...nothing like Sydney's spectacular show...or Melbourne's for that matter.

Handholding FTW.. :)

Here is a sunset shot.
QUOTED IMAGE

Something tells me you were on the Lavender Bay steps. Get yourself an orange CityRail vest and you can get some nice shots a little further up the rail line.

Are you suggesting he impersonates a maintenance worker ;) (oh, and i think I have a flouro vest somewhere, I should use it when shooting some time , but over here I was in a area that was roped off once shooting and a guy came up and said "I assume you have all the right passes to be here" and I just said yes and he walked off )

BTW, was angus supposed to be gone this long, maybe we should email the consulate :p

It went down well. :p

Problem is I'm too busy cooking / eating to be shooting too.

That doesn't sound like too bad an idea. I have an orange vest somewhere. I think.

Lovely shot there Warrenism.

Something I took today. I think the place was called Xin Feng, a water town near Shanghai. Three years ago, I marched in with a film camera. Today, a DSLR. Ohh the change.

Question for the Sydney plane fans - would Brighton Le Sands be a good place to photograph planes arriving and departing the airport? On maps it looks okay, but I don't know what the terrain is down that way.
