A new theme hasn't been started so I thought I would start it up for BLS

This week theme is: "Delicious"

Try to take a photo that that either looks or shows something delicious!
Of course be creative and have fun

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=194511

An index to previous weeks can be found here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=170603

That's it! Have fun!

John, I think that's twice you posted ice cream.
Both times it was homemade.
Do I detect an ice cream aficionado?

Your apple looks yummy!

My life is slowly settling down after two family emergencies.
First my Mom fell and strained her back.
Shortly after I returned home from taking Mom to the Emergency Room, my husband fell.
Back to the ER.
He damaged the radial nerve in his arm, losing its use.
He is slowly recovering movement & feeling in his arm.

I'm spending time helping my parents & husband.

For me, this week's theme needed to be carried out at home.
I decided to do a series.
Here are my results:

These are delicious cookies that I make every Christmas.

But I have to restrain myself from enjoying them too much.
I know that somewhere in the house there lurks the dreaded scale.

If the scale tells a tale of woe, I might end up doing this instead of photography:

Actually, I cheated on the last one.
I took it last week for our "Curves" theme, but never got it posted.

2. Necessities
3. Hard Times

Let's hear your thoughts!

BLS,
Yes I love my homemade ice cream and so does my wife, but the apple is healthier by a bit :)

A hint about the scale (as it looks digital), take the battery out  Because the cookies look great, I would love one with a cup of tea please!

I am so sorry to hear about your mom and husband.. :(
Hope all goes well for you and them :)
