If you are getting two let me recommend "Infamous Angel" & "My Life" they were the first two I got after hearing her sing "Our Town" on the soundtrack of "Northern Exposure" (LINK (external link) )

I DID NOT KNOW Norther Exposure had a soundtrack!! I want that.

I LOVED Northern Exposure and Men In Trees. I was sad when they were canceled.

I've never seen men in trees but I bought the series of NE. I love it.

Must have missed that one, or strongly blocked it..

Most current shows have a soundtrack. I bought the wife one of the Grey's Anatomy soundtracks...season 2 I think.

The show Navy NCIS also has one, they usually feature new artists though....always ones I've never heard of, but have great songs I like.

I told ya she'd deny it. Totally misguided. We'll be in the car,
Mom: Oh listen to this song, I really like it
Me: Yep, that's a country song
Mom: IT IS NOT!
Me: Yep, hear it all the time on the country station, the artist calls themselves a country artist, won cmt awards, bleeds hay...
Mom: NO! My Itunes specifically says it's *looks* ... folk.

uh huh...

Like I said, most stuff that gets played on modern Country stations today I'd classify somewhere under a different genre. Just because the station plays it, that doesn't make it Country...

Being on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack is one of the best ways for new artists to get discoved now.

 I like country music...mainly the older stuff...but it has gotten kinda bland in the past. The same thing sung about...always my wife/dog/horse left me or similar.

New country artists are much more attractive than old country ever was. I'll take Julian Hough over Reba McIntire anyday.
