Ahh, the G-d of thunder. A fellow Marvel Comic maven. Welcome, my son.

Hey, numero seis, I'll be in San Fran in late August this year. Maybe we can get a meet together. I'll bet the people from Cali would flock to meet the likes of me.

 Sure! Let's set something up...

I gotta meet His Lordship, the King of Burgers, DanteKing.

me

Well, that's a name I haven't heard in a while. I wonder how many people on here actually remember Dante. I hated to see him go. I still crack up when I think about his avatar, with him and his little baby boy, both wearing their goatee's.

Hey Mark, it's a good thing you seperate the Yorkie from the two big dogs. My mom had a yorkie, and that was the meanest darn dog I ever saw. She was small on size, but big on courage and temper. I guarantee you Hercules would give them big dogs all he's got.

A trip to Bubba's would be well worth the trouble, and it's a lovely drive from SFO. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge, go a few miles north, and you're there.

Bubba's? Is Bubba a POTN member or a burger joint?

I ride up that way all the time...

Oh, yeah! It's in San Anselmo - I've eaten there a couple of times. Very good food, tends to be crowded (with good reason)...

Bring in your L and proof of POTN; IIRC he used to offer a little extra for that . . .

Yeah all those times and you dont even say hello!!

Seriously I have been quite busy. I dont know if you remember, but some time back I was looking to expand the empire. Was consolidating loose ends to help fund R&D for expansion. Stupidest thing I did in the process was sell my 300 2.8 and 85L. Anyway, after looking at market trends and seeing the course of economic currents, I decided to venture into the retail end of food service. The first of year in 2008, I started Bubba's Foods Inc. In a nutshell, BFI is the parent entity for Bubba's Diner, Bubba's Foods (a business that prepares top end retail food for upscale supermarkets) and Marin Pasta Works (organic fresh pasta manufacturing and distribution). We had a very busy 2008.

Oh, we also recently had the Food Channel here, Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Had a great 2 days of filming. Won't air until spring however.

It is great to be missed. I still lurk here a bit. Dont post much as I dont have alot of time for uploading pics. Just let me know if y'all are coming and I'll be there to hold MDJAK down while we trash his Nikon gear.:lol::lol::lol:

Hi Dante...good to see you still kicking the old lens around :)

Keep us posted on the Food network show times...the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives is one of my favorite segments! Although, the show on Fried Foods the other night was pretty awesome...I loved the deep fried hamburger concept..."Heart Attack on a Plate" is how it is listed on the diner's menu

Dante!

Yeah, there are more than a couple of ship-jumpers of late. Permie's the latest to leave (but Puddle's staying Canon; guess he figures he'll be able to keep hold of his lenses that way).

They're so cute and innocent at that age......

Too bad he'll grow up with the shame of living in a Noink house.

Cute dog, Mark. Excellent choice of names.

Nah, I switched back to Canon, Tom. Just cause of you.

Oh, and he's still yapping and jumping and scratching. I love him.
