In parts of the UK you'd be profiled by the police as a potential troublemaker and all shop security would be alerted to your presence.

Unless, naturally, you were wearing a tennis outfit with those, sir. :)

LOL. I don't wear them when I'm driving for that very reason :)

Who cares what color it is, as long as it takes good images?

I agree :)

Part of why Mac is so good is because they are the only ones who make a white computer (as far as I know).

true...at the time i picked up my xti...for some reason the black ones were more expensive...i chose the pick up the silver xti and regretted it...yeah it was just mostly a fashion/look of the camera though...

eventually i upgraded to an 40D and love it..:D

So let's say you're a marketing person at Canon. You read through this thread. What color cameras are you going to produce?

Nobody who is serious about photography complains about black bodies. Many complain about silver so don't make the stuff they'll buy in silver. Folks who aren't in on the "camera fashion scene" are more open minded. You can make different colors for them.

We may all say we only care about how the equipment performs, not how it looks.
Still, +95% of us would likely choose a black version given a choice.
Talk is cheap. ;)

Well, the Silver is painted from a regular black body and then eventually over time chips off. The black doesn't chip.

:D

And if canon brought out a 1d4p or something that was the exact same as the 1d4, but was pink and cheaper I would go for it :)

I keep seeing this hate for plastic, especially silver plastic. The thing is, All I heard about was metal bodys and metal lens, and so far my 50D feels plastic as does my 24-70L. My 70-200F4L before that felt plastic as well.

I dont hate silver cameras, but I prefer black ones. Silver paint isnt quite as silver as metal is.
