P.S. I have not gotten back a penny from the investment.

I've spent about $13,000 on my gear. $10,000 was paid off by my re-enlistment bonus and I've made about $2,500 so far shooting weddings.

My next purchase will most likely be another bag for my wife to carry when we hike now that the 300 2.8 and 40D occupy my entire 300 Lowepro Flipside.

Around $3,805 but I have sold some, and bought some... Currently, my "gear table" holds $2,750 worth of gear\accessories...
I plan to spend a lot more. (28mm f/1.8, 135mm f/2L, 200mm f/2.8L, all are on my list... Then it will be time to upgrade my 50 1.4, 85 1.8, and 28 1.8 to the L equivalents, and a 5D 2 :) )

Don't make me add it up. :) It's a worst than crack even though I've never seen or touch crack.
Let me add it up in my head.... hmm..
Too much. My next purchase will be a 5D2 or a Canon G10. <--- tough decision I have going on. I believe at times it's hard to justify such large purchases when you don't make any money off of any of the equipment. I've used my gear for many shoots at work (broadcast studio) but I don't get paid directly for doing-so.

My gear = (+-) $3800
Which actually isn't too bad... wow. I thought it was more. Thank goodness ;)

Somewhere over $5k CDN (I'm not counting), when you add in tripod, remote release....etc...

I might be looking at at the 100mm macro at some point and a 1.4TC. I'm in no rush. If I get that, then I will need to get a bigger bag than the Fastpack 200 I am using. Oh well....

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.
