I can't wait to get a 28 1.8 to team up with my 50 1.4 and 85 1.8

Hey Brad. You won't be disappointed if you like shooting in low light. I use it all the time when I go out with my friends. It does have a bit of CA under harsh daylight but I usually use it for indoor gatherings.

Yeah, I would only be using it for indoor stuff (family events, weddings, etc.) otherwise, that is what I have the 17-40 for

Very nice Spinner! I'm just missing the 300 Although in all honesty I wouldn't have much use for one (or rather I would, but on rare occassions).....

My 600mm prime!

This is one of the best of the catadioptric lenses, the Sigma 600mm f/8 Mirror lens. The deep flocked metal hood was included. There are a lot of nice features like 1:3 magnification at the close focus limit, a built in rotating tripod ring, easy-change rear filter tray, and very compact size. With the hood reversed, the lens fits easily in most camera bags mounted.

As mirror lenses goes, this one is pretty sharp. It has quite a bit of light fall-off (vignetting) but no chromatic aberration. Distortion is very low too. Contrast is less than a refracting lens though.

The toughest thing about using this lens is the very shallow depth of field and keeping it still. On a tripod, mirror lockup is needed probably due to the light weight of the lens. On a monopod, it works quite well as long as the shutter speeds are high.

Images from this lens need some post processing for contrast, saturation, vignetting correction, and sharpening but with practice and optimal conditions, good photos are possible.

Yeah, I'd like to see some full-size unprocessed images shot with this lens too, please!
