Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for all of the great posts here. I have always had a love for photography, but i am just recently trying to make an effort to get better at it.

I think i have a pretty good eye for photography, but my ability to actually produce the image that i see in my head is somewhat lacking. I have been doing a lot of reading here and there trying to get a little better everyday.

I just recently bought my first "nice" camera, a Canon Rebel EOS XS. I know that it pales in comparison to what a good many of you guys have here, but it will be sometime before I have the ability to push even this camera to it's limits. So far I am extremely happy with it and have taken about 400 photos today alone. I'm still playing with all of the settings and experimenting every chance I get.

Thanks again for all the great info here and I look forward to chatting with you all more in the future.

-Bryan

Greetings! Take pictures, and spend some time in the various "stickies" (the threads stuck at the top of the various groups here) to get a feel of things.

And, have a great time!

Welcome to the forum. No need to be apologetic about the XS, it's a great camera and can produce images just as nice as a camera costing significantly more.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
