Let me add this one. I really like the way the Male Downy Woody's head just popped out from the frame.

Nice job, has a very three dimensional feel to it.

Have a break from the birds :)

Here are a couple from a recent 'deer stalking' trip. They shot wide open at f4. 1dmkIII.

A manfrotto gimbal head mounted on a monopod was used for support. Heavy to carry around for a 5 mile walk, but I feel it was worth the effort.

LOL! I assure you that my point and shoot is a Canon...but my friend who was along on the trip is a Nikon shooter. I've tried to convert him, but he's older and set in his ways. :D

I took this with my Canon 5D, 500 f/4 IS, 1.4 TC and Better Beamer. It took quit a long time to get the proper angle on this (c) scarlet macaw at Alligator Farm.

I like the results..

I really like the lighting on this shot. Is almost studio like...

I too like the lighting on this woodpecker. You did a very good job handling the color. I like the way the red feathers "pop" next to the B&W ones.

Here's another photo from my new 5D Mk 11, 500 f4, 1.4 TC and Better Beamer.

Enjoy.....

Light is the key for me with photography. This photo was taken on an overcast day while I was taking a wildlife photo class. It had rained very hard but once it cleared the light was just right.

My 500 f/4 IS worked well with the old EOS 1D.....

I hope it is ok for me to post here if not please let me know.

Well it was a very short lived but I had to sell my copy of this awesome lens :-( I was told last Friday that I was getting laid off today.

I am however, happy to say that the retailer that I bought my copy from was willing to take it back a full refund.

With that in mind I am selling a lot of the accessories that I bought for my baby **Sniff** Here's the link to the market place Ad.

Thank you everyone that has been SO very helpful to me and my learning curve with such an amazing lens!!!

Man you had me run open the safe, mount the lens, setup the tripod. Then I went outside to look at it. And it's too hazy to shoot the moon. My wife is still laughing.
