I never though....(5D MII question)

I could talk my business partner into going into a 5D with me but due to our recent weddings and business I think we could really use this. Quick question other then where to find one of these damn things...almost like trying to get a wii a week before xmas...

Can you take stills from video shot on the M2 and still have them in good quality? Thats all I am sold on everything else :)

I believe you can take pictures while taking video, but you wouldnt want to take a still from the video.

you can tae a pic while recording, but the video pauses for a few seconds while the picture is taken nd stuff

maybe not a few seconds, but it does pause on that frame

My understanding is that you CAN take a still from the video, however, the resolution is only something like 2 megapixels. As mentioned by the other posters, you can also take a regular picture while the video is recording, but it causes the video to pause momentarily.

I have been able to extract pics from a video, as there are 30 per second. Hand held it is useless to try. too much motion blur. If mounted on a steady tripod, they can be very good. However, the poster above is correct. It will only be around 2 megapixels. You might get some nice 5 X 7's.
