Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I agree it's a bit dark, as I used "levels" in photoshop to tone down the brightness. I really wanted to bring out subtle details in the "mares".

I don't find it too dark at all. It gives me a very contrasty impression, as if it were a NASA photo from the 60s.
