For those of you who shoot tethered, do you shoot with a tripod? Set up a poll, I'd like to hear some thoughts.
POLL: "Do you use a tripod on set?"
I shoot tethered and always use a tripod
I shoot tethered and sometimes use a tripod
I shoot tethered and never use a tripod
I don't shoot tethered and always use a tripod
I don't shoot tethered and sometimes use a tripod
I don't shoot tethered and never use a tripod
It depends (explain)
Batteries? We don't need no... . . . or cards.

I prefer mobility. I shot tethered once and just became too frustrated with it.

recently tethered 90% of the time in the studio...trying to get to use it more often "on location."

I always shoot tethered. I have a 10 to 12 ft usb cable so I have no issues with mobility. I never use a tripod and don't really see a reason to use one when using strobes.

Does wireless count as tethered? Always wireless, and I never use a tripod.

I got suckered into buying a 300 dollar tripod fro 180bucks...I used it 4 times if i used it at all. But it's nice to have if needed and can rely on it, not like the cheapo ones. For how and what I shoot, tripod is not needed and mobility is or at least preferred.
