Fortunately a lot of the folks buying new cameras don't think this way. That means a variety of cameras constantly resupplying the used market.
Bad for them, good for us.
I picked up my 1Ds2 at the PO this morning. Life is good.

Bought my 1D MkIIn in October for like $2,200 with 15k actuations. Already down $200! Ohh well, I love the camera and I don't fear taking it out and using it like I did with my XTi. A body maintained its value for a little while and weren't obsolete every year or so. John

Oh well - - Hello used market! ![]() i dont think the 1d bodies loose too much, it always hype when a new camera is released with more MP. However the other things that really count never change that much, and the "real life" usage such as delivering for print, or shooting action, the 1dsmk2 and 1dmk2 will hold for many years until they change the way paper is printed Living the life, overexposing...

Consider that the 1Ds MKIII was $8000 when it was first released, it's street price is currently $1500 less than that, and I've seen them on the used market for around $4800. That's a pretty big drop if you ask me. connecticut wedding photographer
