Just give it to someone that needs it like me. A smaller bag would be nice. I couldn't stand carrying my 7MDH around all the time. Ugh. What a nuisance. That'll still leave some money though. Well...um, there's other stuff there. Need anything for your computer? MP3? Headphones? Flashlights? I love flashlights, can never have enough. Got a underwater one for spring diving.

There's a lot more than just cameras.

Buy me something? ;)

If you're looking into camera gear, what about some protective CF card cases?

Grid focusing screen for the 5D. Maybe selling the 430EX and using the money from both to get a 580EX II....

I was a computer science student and am a web developer by day, so I'm covered as far as hardware & software goes.

Maybe one of those CF card wallets. Perhaps I could go for a 5 MDH and a bunch of small things.

I hear people rave about the replacement focusing screens but I've never looked into them.

You should. Theyre cheap too, only about $40.

I'll stand in line if you're handing it out....I'll even give you my 6MDH in return ;)

But really, maybe a rocket blower. A nice CPL. CF card cases are very handy as well.

I vote for a 580EX II, and sell the 430EX if necessary. If you can keep both, you'll be able to play around with two lights and it's a lot of fun.

Why not donate that gift card to your local photo club for a raffle prize or something like that.

Graduated NDs. You can buy a bunch of Hi-Techs plus lens adapters and a filter holder for $175.

I just dug out a B&H gift card. I have $175 to spend and I'm drawing a blank, so I figured I would ask around for some suggestions.

I am primarily an ambient light shooter and do a lot of urban stuff, cityscapes, street shots, and the occasional landscape. I like to travel.

I shoot with a 5D and have all the lenses I need, so I'm not looking to buy more glass. I have a Crumpler backpack as well as a 7 Million Dollar Home. My accessories include plenty of extra batteries and memory cards, a card reader, a gorillapod, a proper tripod with ball head, lens cloth, 430 ex flash and cactus trigger.

The only thing I have had on my mind is another messenger-style bag. I have been thinking that the 7 MDH is too big for the many times when I'm carrying a minimal amount of gear. I'm not married to the idea though since I do already have 2 bags.

I have also thought about getting a battery grip, but I'm not sure how often I would use it. I don't do paid jobs, and enjoy the compact size of the 5D compared to the 1 series bodies.

So given all that, What are some interesting accessories I should consider?

i'll give you $100 for it :D!

If it were me I would just stick it somewhere safe until I actually wanted something. Seems to me that it is a waste to spend it just because you can.
