I was really close to getting it on ebay as well at 400+ shipping. I was at work when my GF called to tell me that they had the Cam on sale at 30% off. I jumped right on it immediately because I knew they didnt have alot of it left.

I picked up a second one for my wife at $350. I thought my $410 at B&H 2 months ago was a good price! Sure a great little camera, that's for sure.

Where are these CC's located at. All of them in Atlanta are closed.

The 300 price was in Madison WI. As for which CC's are open and which are closed, that's a good question. The web site has nothing on it anymore so I don't know how to get that information. I have 3 within 20 miles of me (think that may have contributed to the bankruptcy???) and 1 was open. I suggest googling the stores individually then calling them before you make the schlep.

For $300, that's definitely worth it. Too bad I just called my CC that had 6 two days ago, and now they have none. :p Oh well. I paid a little more but it's worth it for the customer service I receive through amazon.

Just went to Columbus Indiana CC and they had 1 G10 left in the box and the display unit. They would not budge from 359.99 on the new unit, I talked to the store manager and some guy overseeing the liquidation prices...they were firm at that price. The display was not for sale until they sold the boxed unit.

Too bad. I wonder how the guy I saw here https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=643524 got his for 300 in WI? Still, 359 (not 349?) isn't bad. Did you get it?

I think the CCs are closing at different times, so the ones that are closing sooner probably have higher percent offs.

$300 I think I would have to find the money to buy one.

Oddly, I asked about the 430ex speedlite, and they were $200. They said they only had the floor model left, but they wouldn't take it any lower than $200!

I think with a brand like Canon it's okay to buy it from a liquidated store. Nothing but positive things to say about Canon CS from me.

No, I didn't. I already have one...I was just planning on selling it here to someone on the forums who wanted one for what I had in it (plus shipping of course) Just tryin' to help out;) I'm in Columbus a couple times a week, and if the price drops and if I can grab it at $300 bucks before someone else then I will pass along the savings.

Oh, and yes it was $349.99....my bad.

Oh now you're just getting greedy =)
(kidding)
For anyone who wants to try this: No one will negotiate on pricing. No one.
Displays will be sold for the same price as the new-in-box, same deal.
