Hi BJWOK, nice photos but I don't like the incredible amounts of specular highlights on their faces, noises, cheeks, foreheads etc. Have you tried using a reverse 45 degree bounce or over the shoulder bounce instead? It largely eliminates specular highlights and does a good job of filling in the shadows, but it does require fairly heavy bursts and a battery pack and high ISO

Also in photoshop, you can colour sample non burnt skin and lightly brush over the burnt skin with about 30% opacity on a brush, and I find that gets rid of the highlights...don't over do it though otherwise it'll look plastic

thanks man, will try this technique. Just a thought, a reverse 45 degree bounce would need a smallish room right? or is the bounce coming off the diffuser not the ceiling?

for a over the shoulder bounce i am assuming you are talking about off camera flash?

don't mind a higher ISO, but i won't be photoshopping my pics as time for that is not an option... ;)

Oh ok, if you are in a room where ceiling bounce is not feasible, then a bounce backwards wouldn't be possible either :( By over the shoulder I mean the flash pointing 135 degrees to the left or right and 60 degrees up

Adsayer is still around. He moved to an area where there is little to no club scene (if I remember correctly).

Here is his flickr:

You should check it out, he does nice work.

Great pics! I did the same last Sat! Here are some pics at the barbershop, before we hit the club for the show.

I'm still working on my skin smoothing skills. I want the models to look clean... but I don't want them to look too plasticy. Either way... here's how the shots at the shop came out. I'll post some from the runway at the club later.

When I shoot some parties I use a small paper to bounce it off. But it is often useless when You want to have very long times. So I would also like to hear your answers :). I'm looking forward to buying stofen omnibounce.
