Well, my wife had the bright idea to submit a photo to a cute baby contest, so we can be inundated with spam email and cataloges and junk snail mail. Now, of course none of the "Reese's first big girl tubby..." photos were good enough for her, which I thought was absurd. So she made me do something new, so I had to do the best I could with what I had, which wasn't much.

We have this black couch from Ikea, I know, I know, another wife purchase. Anyways, we can make this into some kind of ghetto bed, and put Reese in it. Now, though it is not ideal, it worked pretty well for what it was. There are some color differences in the back with the cusions removed, but I didn't care, as long as I got something she liked.

Which one do think we should submit?

Some cute shots of an adorable child, but in my opinion, all three of your bath tub shots have these beat. You just hit a moment there that will be tough to match. Not saying that you couldn't have a winner here, but man, those shots were good. Good luck with the contest.

Number 4 with 3 just behind (to my eye, #3 could stand to be a bit sharper). Nice shots.

I voted for #6 because it is only one one with the proper camera position with decent lighting. Your lighting wasn't very good - looks like overhead causing facial shadows. And the other shows are mostly taken from above (and there are too many photos of kids taken from 3 feet above their heads end up with kids looking up at the camera).

I like the bathtub shots also. I agree, most of these are not lit from the right direction. #4 gets my vote out of this set.

I am super cool n' stuff.

I liked them all. I like the 'Cooky-Cutter' formula. Once you have the proper recipee for focus, lighting, saturation and sharpness all that's left is subject and pose. You have it all, my friend. Good captures.

Wife, no one can be THAT bad....lol. Just kidding.
Seriously, you made a really cute baby that looks incredibly happy. You CAN'T be bad!!

I vote #4. The eyes get me!

But #2 in the Tub Photos is a Winner!
