So, I've got a project due for my photography class, and lighting is a big thing in this lesson.

Has anyone come up with homebrew/DIY lighting for self-shots around the house and such?

Any info/ideas would be great! Thanks a bunch.

Take a look at the Lighting forum. There is a link with TONS of threads on do it yourself stuff.

I think the homemade ringflash diffusers/bowls are really cool and produce some neat results.

Or, get really creative with gels, different colors of foil, makes tears in the foil and backlight it to produce shadows/patterns on your subject (you) that's lit.

No worries at all. Some don't get to all the different sections on here. Hope it helps!
