Hello POTN,

It's been a while since I posted some stuff in this part of the forum, so I thought I would submit some recent photos I took on a weekend walk for a little critiquing. All comments and criticisms are welcomed as usual. Thanks for looking :)

Very nice - is the 2nd one HDR?

First one feels a little unbalanced to me, but honestly I don't know what to suggest with it (nope, I can't just say 'very nice' without some criticism :))

I llike them both but I think #1 is a little too dark, overall, and the deeper shadows have no detail.

My guess would be that in both pictures there could be more interesting dark tones if "Curves" were applied to give more contrast just in the lower tones. Both histograms look about the same with the bulk of the values being in the lower half of the distribution.

Thank you very much for the critiques. :)

And Stirfried - Neither one is an HDR. I used an Infrared preset in Lightroom for the conversion.
