Brodeur Watch Continues!!! Win number 550 tonight move Martin Brodeur only one behind Patrick Roy. Fittingly, Brodeur will have the chance to tie the record Saturday night in Montreal in front of Roy. If that happens, I'll have the chance to shoot the possible record breaker in NJ on Tuesday...enjoy!

Thanks for looking...

Ed

Excellent shots. Exposures are spot on. Wicked wide angle shots.
Did you take them through the glass or through the hole in glass?
1/1000 at ISO 1250 You are lucky to shoot in such bright rink :D

Great shots! I bet your shooting through the hole in the glass. I just went to the Sabres game yesterday and tried my wide angle lens-horrible glare.

I was really hoping that Roy's records would stay intact, but since they can't, I'm glad Brodeur will break them. Here's hoping you get to shoot the record breaker tuesday. I hope to rent a better SLR next weekend to shoot my minor league team and see if my abilities are at the level where better equipment will give me images with some credibility to them. I'd love to be able to convince the team to let me freelance my work to them next year. I never see photographers at the rink, just the video guy.
BTW, do you shoot with strobes or just ambient? Also, what's your lens of choice?

NIce work. I'll be glad to see Brodeur pass Roy.....he's a class act.

Patrick has tarnished his image somewhat since retirement.

Thanks for all the comments, looks like Tuesday could be the night! As for the questions, yes I have a season media pass for the Devils, I am shooting through holes in the glass or from the first tier over the glass. I shoot available light, no strobes. The lenses I use are a 70-200 and a 16-35 from ice level...300 from above...Thanks again.

Huge Devils fan here! (as shown by the avatar, lol). I'll be there on Tuesday as well! Wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm going to try to bring my 50D and 24-70L again. I could only wish to one day land a job like yours, I truly do envy you as it's my dream job.

Fantastic shots, and LETS GO DEVILS.

Great shots enjoy viewing them. You mention that you shoot existing light. What kind of settings do you use? They are crystal clear. And capture the game so well!
