The oscillation is only part of my worry, it's that plus the amount of damage it might do on
a) the panels that the cup is attached to
b) whether the cups will hold due to the force from the bumps. We're talking about an undamped oscillation with a good 4 pounds attached to the end of a 12-15 foot pole with only two support points on the other end.

I can understand your panel worry. I do see some roof flex on some cars that I have rigged so far. I don't think there will be any permanent damage if you push the car. Once you start driving the car, it's different game.

As for the suction cups, I read that they Avenger advertised 50lbs holding power, but are actually under-rated and can hold 200lbs.. don't quote me on that, but I was able to hang on them fine. But I was hanging on the stud. Once you add leverage, the physics and calculations and different. A 4lb camera becomes more powerful the longer the pole gets.

Again, I suggest pushing.. I don't see any reason where driving is necessary.. especially 40-50kph. I understand it can be sunny out, but that's what ND filters are for.

Not sure about this PP. I didn't do the whole thing, but a friend changed the coloring and most of the rig, I just did some touch up.

It's not 100% done yet so I haven't gone out and shot with it yet but I put it on my car this afternoon to see what it'll look like (only did this position, none of the rear yet). The rig is only like 13' long at this point but I'll write this model off as a starter:

Hopefully I'll be shooting with it for the first time this weekend! And considering how big the car is, I'm pretty satisfied with how much it gets in the frame, haha.

Nope, was mounted to the roof.

Hours of Painful Post Processing on this one, over 9 exposures used.

Thats impressive if you PP'd the pole out and it was running over the bay area, will you be posting a before shot?

9 images into one, was that to get correct exposure on areas or to help remove the rig?
