Hey!

I was just directed here through another forum and thought I'd start off by sharing some photos from my most recent photography trip =).

I took a lot more photos than the six above and it's hard trying to figure out which are the best of the bunch :/. The photos were taken on a 1000D with the Sigma 10mm f/4–5.6 with a grad ND filter. =)

I really like #2 and #5, but they are all great.

The others seem to have a lot heavier of a vignette than 2&5.

Love the processing.

I need to move.

The only issue I have (currently) is the centering of the sun in a few of the frames and the red cast (which is probably part of the PP). Otherwise, they look very artistic.

Welcome to the forums, and keep up the good work.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the welcomes, replies and the compliments =).

@Buckas: The only filter I used on the camera was a graduated neutral density (colourless) filter.

@MrGreen: Number 5 was taken with the 70-300mm as opposed to the 10-20mm like the others; however, you're correct in that I didn't apply a vignette to this particular image in post-. All the rest have the same vignette applied.

@Jrader: In respect to the white balance, I think the lighting at the time just didn't feel "natural" even at the scene. I did play around with different white balances but nothing I could get seemed "natural". Top-left is daylight, top-right is cloudy, bottom-left is Adobe ACR auto (which looks way too blue), bottom-right is "as shot" (which looks too purple).

awesome shots. I agree with jrader, though . . . the reddish tone throws me off a bit. Of the four examples you show above, the bottom right looks the best to me.
