It looks like all the meets will be to far South for me. Seem to be about a 2.5- 3 hour one way drive.

Any thoughts Frank what date you would like to target?

Probably one of these, but I need to see what my schedule will be.
Race 4 - July 25-26
Race 5 - August 29-30

It looks like all the meets will be to far South for me. Seem to be about a 2.5- 3 hour one way drive.

Plan your own? There are people in your area.

Here's one I built for a friend for his SLR and for HD video. It's in WA.

Good work, Troy!

I do plan on making it to one of the races down your way, I'm just waiting for a date to plan it.

Marion is just South East of Cadillac, right on M-66. (middle of the mitten) Right palm, located at the base of your ring and middle finger. :D

I haven't seen anyone in my area otherwise I would have made contact.

But, I do anyway. ;)

When you live in an area that is nothing but farms and fields you have to get creative.

Anyone going into downtown Detroit this weekend? With the Final Four happening there should be all kinds of craziness to take pictures of.I'll be there Saturday.

I am thinking about going down to capture some Final Four moments. I was really disappointed with what I saw on tv during the last game. The images of Detroit were horrible. Although I know those ruined buildings do exist, they were on a mission to search only those. I know it sounds more appealing for MSU to win and bring Detroit out of its gloomy economy.
I was downtown for the ST. Patricks Parade and got some beautiful shots of Detroit. The energy, the crowds, everyone was having a blast. I am currently editing the video clips I took (new toy 5DII). The video editing thing is all new to me.

So I would like to see some more positive shots come from this weekend and portray Detroit from a different perspective.

Jim

I went downtown Fri/Sat/Sun.. took today to recover a bit. Got hooked up with pit credentials for the weekend (works well when you know who to ask), so got some crazy good shots of all the main acts and the crowd. I'll post in the performing arts section and link back to them once I get everything sorted and uploaded.

UPDATE:
Internet has been painfully slow (go figure, right when I have a TON to upload). Managed to get one of the Friday performances posted.
