Seeing as everyone has been posting dope BMX and skateboard shots I thought I better post some of my own to keep up...

Lately i've had the chance to hang out with and shoot an English guy, now living in Australia, who goes by the name of Joe Dodd. He's an awesome rider, and equally as chilled guy. I'll definitely be heading out with him more often from now on.

Enough talk. Pics:

A nice, clean double-peg down a rail at a quarter to eight. Joe pulled them so flawlessly every time.

A huge manual down a ledge outside the Westpac building in Sydney city late one afternoon.

And a solid tailwhip down 6 stairs late one night.

Enjoy.

Tristan.

Those are some pretty legit pics. I really love the lighting on the first one.

Solid snaps mate. I love the clarity of the first one, and the 'filmish' look on the second. Well done!

Cheers guys. That second one was so much bigger than it looks in the shot (but that's the way it always goes, huh).

Cheers mate.

1st shot had 2 SB600 flashes, 1/2 power, camera left and right at various distances.
2nd shot had no flashes, just camera on a tripod.
3rd shot had 2 SB600's, again camera left and right at various distances, one at full power, the other at half.

Nothing special done in photoshop. Curves/levels/saturation/sharpening. It's all about getting the lighting right...

Bryant, Tristan shot these with a 18-70. What you need are some radio triggers and a few flash guns, not the UWA.

T, phenomenal lighting on the 1st one bud. I often forget about moving the left flash behind the subject like that and I guarantee that I would have put the right flash right behind one of those concrete barriers, not where you did. Thanks for the lesson. The tailwhip is sick, bars nice and low, textbook. I let em creep up on me sometimes and that doesn't end well.

Great work as always Tristan.
