How is $850 US second hand in excellent condition sound? I just saw it at my local camera store.

Make sure it is the II model and not the original. The $850 sounds more like the version 1 rather than the newer one. If it is the II, you should grab that up.

I tried some Infrared photography over the Easter break. It seems that at 17mm there's quite a hot spot in the centre:

Here's a few that I've processed. I think I need to wait a few more weeks so there's more leaves about. The evergreens don't IR too well.
