Although tomorrow may reach 100 Friday and Saturday it may rain and should be in the very low 60s in SF.

Don't be such a spoil sport. Of course it's not going to rain.
We have a guy coming in from Houston Texas for this meet.
It CAN'T rain. :p

I finally decided to peek in on this thread. You guys look like you have a good time planned. Wish I could be there. I've been to a few POTN get-togethers, and I've very much enjoyed getting to meet members face-to-face.

I lived in the Bay Area (Los Gatos) from 1969 to 2000, so it's home, although with every successive visit there, it feels a little more alien. Too many people, too much traffic, too wet, etc. etc. (typical complaints from a senior citizen who likes to wear bermuda shorts and Tommy Bahama shirts)

I now live in SoCal, near Palm Springs, and would welcome a get-together down here, but not till the fall when it gets cooler.

Have fun!!

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Well we just want him to feel at home with the rain.
Just think of how clear the air will be and the light will be killer.

I went to three of the four California get togethers last year (that I knew of), and you were only at the one I wasn't at.

It's a new year, and yet another California get together, that you won't be at.

I'm beginning to think you are avoiding me.

If I make it this Saturday, it will represent 4 meet-ups for me; 3 of which Mr Belmondo attended so fret not, it all evens out.

Mr Belmondo is quite the raconteur and aside from the one time he told me, "You are taller than you post", a genuine gentleman.

We will have to prevail on him to brave the heavy traffic and cool weather to attend a meet up in the future.

Cheers!

:lol::lol::lol:

I can't wait till saturday. Last night I was trying to fall asleep, and I kept thinking "I should make time to photograph the golden gate, maybe I could go tomorrow.." and so my mind kept trying to rearrange the week so I'd have time to swing by the city, when all the while I will be there on Saturday with yawl taking photos.

Very excited about this opportunity. Sadened that the Souzas are out of reach and so is Dr. Belmondo, but anyone else really has got to shove excuses aside and show up for a grand time (oh, well, except for the dude getting married, I am pretty sure it was already decided honeymooning in the Canal area of San Rafael was not going to be as much fun for them). ;)

Whoa, I totally forgot about this thread I knew there was something important going down this Saturday and couldn't exactly put my finger on what it was until I got a PM from Killjoy, LoL. Anyway, I plan on being there... hopefully the weather will be favorable. :)

Imagine getting 16-20 people with cameras, walk half way onto the golden gate bridge (lengthwise, or else it is illegal :p ), and arbitrarily have everyone point our cameras to a single point in the sky, and start snapping photos and whispering... After a couple of minutes, I wonder how many people's attention would be directed towards the heavens?... mmh... ;)

If everyone who said they would come, can actually make it, there will be 22 of us out there shooting.

As for walking on the Golden Gate Bridge, there is a sidewalk that runs the length of the bridge.
Walking across the bridge is something that people do every day. ;)

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!! Stupid gig I'm doing - and it's not even with one of my own bands - got changed up, so I'm playing in Pleasanton from 11-1, and then later from 4-6, so I'm unfortunately disqualified from attending this event. DAMN!

Upside the head...A place where nothing good ever happens.
My stuff: 5DII, 20D, kit lens, Tamron 17-50, Canon 70-300 USM IS, 50 f/1.8, 580 EX, Lumiquest 80/20 flash bounce, a few filters, manfroto tripod with ball head. Pathetic Flickr gallery, (external link)Smugmug site (external link)
