Assassin Bug

one mean looking dude !!This is called an assassin bug. They have a piercing beak in which they will pierce their victim injecting a saliva which dissolves tissues, they then use that beak like a straw sucking the body fluids from it victim. Sounds like something from a horror movie doesnt it?? These guys have been known to attack humans too, causing a bite thats much more painful then a bee sting, he did get into a defense position with me yesterday, but I gave him space. The flash tended to really blow out his highlights somewhat, but hes an unusual creature for sure !! in shot three, which I like the pose the best, you can really see his piercing beak, called the Proboscis
