I need a lot of help. I can't seem to wrap my brain around this one.

I want to use my 430EX off camera on a stand with an umbrella. I have a stand and umbrella as well as this component from Flash Zebra:

I think I will have to buy this one too:

I ordered a flash trigger set from Calumet, (their brand), but I'm not sure it's even going to work with the 430ex. I may send it back when it arrives.

So if I order the Cyber Syncs, what else do I need to use the 430ex off camera? And how does the Cyber Sync connect to the flash unit, since it has no plug in for a cord?

Thank you for your help! :)

I'm not sure what cords would come with the Calumet units, but my Cybersyncs came with a cord that would attach to your hotshoe adaptor, via the female PC input. It also came with a cord to fit THIS (external link), which I like better than the PC cord input.

Hi Tim,

This is the flash trigger set I ordered:

I'm not really sure what type of cord came with each unit. I'll check it out once I can dig back through the packaging. :)

It says it has a pc socket, so you'll have to purchase a pc cord, or you can purchase the hotshoe adaptor from my earlier post, and use the cord that came from your wireless set.

Hi Tim,
I have a pair of cyber syncs coming and will order the adapter you mentioned soon. Sorry I'm late on this. I sent my camera in to be looked at by Canon, and am suppose to get it back tomorrow. Will get the ball rolling again once I get it back.
