First time shooting MiLB since last season. It felt good, the sounds, the smells. Good times. These are mostly stock type images so sorry. Trying to get as many good stock type images as I can early.

4, 6 and 7, all day for me Matt. I really like one but would lift the shadows just a little on the face if I really wanted to do anything with it.

Hey Matt......they are good images, who cares if they are for "stock". A good image, is a good image. Good work man ! I hope to be able to take images like this some day.

Thank you for the very nice comments

Matt:

Good work as usual. I am shooting a ton for a local minor ball association and hence also shooting lots of "stock" photos (i.e. shots that moms and dads will buy!).

QUESTION...for your batter shots, do you shoot vertical? or shoot horizontal and crop vertical? I am learning to shoot more vertically for baseball but sometimes zoom in too tight and cut various body parts and things off depending on swing/movement.

CHeers!

Chris

Looking good. I like #6 personally, but they all look great.

That MKIII with the new fix installed treating you OK?

Chris,

I shoot both to be honest. With my Mark III I can get from ground to above the head for horizontal shots, but with the 50D it is much tighter so I will crop above the knees almost to the waist.

If I am going for stock type images I will shoot verticle and really aim for an image when they are done with their swing or full rotated and heading out of the box. Those to me are the best shots.

If I am shooting horizontal I will try to get the actual swing.

This past series I threw the 1.4 on the 50D and went super tight. Like these two examples:

And here is a pitcher shot

Randy,

without a doubt this thing is working, awesome! I have zero complaints at all with it's tracking ability.
