If you find a boat for $200 a day, then rent it. We'll pay you $400. You get $200 profit.


I did do quite a bit of research looking for any boat rentals advertised on the web. They were all about the same for a decent-sized boat that would make for a decent shooting platform. The cheaper boats seemed too small for 6 photogs scrambling for a good position. It basically came down to those boats that normally do fishing excursions, and 3 captains that I talked to were not willing to go cheaper just because we weren't fishing.

If you can find a boat for cheaper than $900 then I'd say that more people would be a lot more interested.

Tall Ships arrive July 8, they leave July 16.

There's no meeting planned yet. (Unless I missed something.) We have been discussing a few ideas, but no definitive plans.

And, knowing us, no meeting will ever be closed.

I'll be down at fanpier to see the Volvo Ocean Race depart for Ireland on Sat afternoon if anyone else is going to be down there - unless somebody owns a boat, then I'll become your best friend to get on it

I'll be at the fan pier I think. Unless I'm doing something else...

cool, maybe I'll bump into you there. When they first came, I was sitting on the edge of the pier where the ships are berthed right now. I may do the same thing again.
