Bridalveil Creek at the foot of the falls. 10mm, f-16, 1/8th, .33 step
It was very wet here and required drying of the camera and lens constantly. At the foot of the falls was like being fire hosed!

Really good motion blur here. I just wish that the background was slightly more appealing.

Thanks :) Agreed that the background isn't Ansel Adams. I couldn't resist the green moss and colorful rocks.
Now, if I could PS the background from one of my others yesterday, people would be all over me to find the perfect spot. ;)

here's a more classic Yosemite photo.

What kind of lens did you use to do these shots?

Canon 40D and the Canon 10-22mm. This shot is @ 18mm. I shot hi-res raw and jpg. This is an uncropped .jpg. The .raw is killer :)

Keith I love them both, especially the first one...The water motion blur is sweet. The one thing with that image that my eye keeps going back to is the bright background where the water leads to the trees. If you're familiar with layer masks, maybe doing a mask with "multiply" and masking that specific area would bring down those highlights a little. Overall, great shot.

Great nature shots! What a blessing to be able to go and capture some of nature's beauty!
Did a little selective burning to darken the light area on the fist one and also the sky in the second. Hope you don't mind

Thanks for the comments. :)

rw2: Good altrerations. I do not have photoshop or any other high end software tools. Like my days of shooting slide film,(transparencies) the lattitude of the film was your saving grace. Solid state imagers are a challenge for certain aspects of photography.

I started with and still use photoshop elements. With some of the add-ons you can do a lot.
