First Spring Goldfinch

This Goldfinch flew in today and brightened up a dark and rainy day. It was our first very "gold" Goldfinch this spring.

They sure do brighten up a gloomy day don't they, totally love the singing they fill my yard with too, I have about 20 here now.

Nice shot DB. I have several this year. Three years ago, I had about 10 males, then last year, only two. I think from that eye disease they get. This year, they are all healthy and their numbers are growing. :)

Thanks Mitch, we have the finch in and out for the summer and a few passing through during the winter... but they never seem to be here on a regular basis. I do hope there are more this summer, they are such beautiful birds.
